Science & Infrastructure Operations Business Area within the Health & Civil Sector at Leidos is seeking a Strategic Account Manager.
Leidos, a part of the Science & Infrastructure Operations Business Area in the Health & Civil Sector, is actively seeking a highly qualified and motivated Strategic Account Manager to join their dynamic team. This full-time position is based on the US East Coast, preferably in the DC-MD-VA area. The selected candidate will play a critical role in the leadership team for Science & Infrastructure Operations (SIO). Some travel may be required to support the needs of our geographically dispersed organization.
Responsibilities:
The Strategic Account Manager will report directly to the Business Development Vice President (VP) of SIO and will hold a key role in driving the execution and growth of Leidos’ Climate Change Solutions business line with the Climate, Energy, and Environment (CEE) Division. This organization comprises 740+ employees, generating $240 million in revenues, with a commendable 10% year-over-year organic growth in 2023. The successful candidate will be a key part of Leidos’ Climate Change leadership team, and will lead efforts to help to both discover needs and communicate novel applications of Leidos’ technologies/solutions which can help Federal stakeholders:
Key responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end business development activities within strategic growth areas for CEE-SIO, such as climate data collection, processing, dissemination, and analysis; federal sustainability initiatives; natural disaster risk reduction; and earth science research and technology programs. The Strategic Account Manager will primarily focus on the Climate Change Solutions business line and perform tasks including market, client, and partnership engagement, coordination of bid and proposal resources, lead identification, capture strategies, proposal management, account management, packaged service offerings contract award, and maintaining customer relations.
Key Linkages and Collaboration:
This position will play a crucial role in connecting Health & Civil Sector leadership by keeping track of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to our climate solutions strategic plan that align with SIO's target growth objectives. As a Strategic Account Manager, you will report to the SIO Business Development VP, and work closely with the CEE Division Manager and the SIO Chief Scientist to optimize the use of bid and proposal resources. You will also collaborate with counterparts across Leidos to ensure that we provide our customers with the best-in-class solutions.
Advisory and Leadership:
In addition to their primary responsibilities, the Strategic Account Manager will support the SIO Business Development VP on call plans for key customers and programs. They will also offer leadership and expertise in other new business matters, including strategic planning, competitive intelligence, and market analysis. Senior line and business development pipeline-pursuit reviews are also expected of them, and they must ensure that value propositions, win strategies, call plans, etc. are complete. Additionally, they are responsible for CRM data entry, reporting, and maintenance.

Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
