Leidos’ Corporate Information Security (CIS) has an immediate opening for an Information Assurance (IA) Performance Optimization Manager in Reston, VA. In this role you will report to the Enterprise Information Assurance Director. The optimization manager will lead efforts to optimize performance and growth related to governance of classified information systems within the enterprise information assurance program. Duties include: conducing analysis and creation of solutions for information assurance activities that align with strategic intents and government compliance, provide recommendations for added speed, scale, and security to enterprise practices and business enablement.
You will partner with other information assurance leaders and functions/operations to include: Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Security Officer, Chief Information Officer, and other relevant functions to facilitate the creation of common secure, scalable, practices and procedures. The individual will assess operations, recommend, and lead implementation of corrective actions and practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of existing business processes and developing sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
- Research best business practices within and outside the organization, collecting and analyzing process data to initial, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, and reduced cost.
- Provides technical advice/input that impact strategic intents and Leidos business results.
- Impacts functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace.
- Serves as a lead on large, complex projects. Mentors and coaches other professional staff.
- Extensively analyzes highly complex problems to seek understanding of the underlying issue and root cause of the problem. Improves upon existing solutions, programs and processes using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation.
- Communicate with senior executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization/projects.
- Negotiates and compromises to convince internal and external parties to accept concepts, practices and approaches of the area.
- Utilizes expert domain knowledge, professional principles, and theories to develop advanced concepts, techniques, solutions, and standards. Serves as a subject matter expert within professional area.
- Lead cross-family project or program teams or manage across multiple families looking broadly across functions (horizontally) and looking deeply within the processes and capabilities to seek out opportunities for improvement and advancement.
- Leverage strong coordination, communications and change leadership skills for optimal performance and customer delivery of information assurance products and services.
- Implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures to add greater efficiencies in the information assurance organization to include workflows, standard operating procedures, and demand management.
- Impacts functional strategy by developing solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans.
- Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for project/family to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Has hiring, firing, promotion, and reward authority within own area, in accordance with organizational guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 15+ years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 13+ years or prior relevant experience.
- Has mastery within a specific technical discipline/area or broad expertise across multiple related disciplines.
- Candidates must have an active Top-Secret clearance.
- Prior experience should include information assurance, cybersecurity, risk management, program or project management in a classified system setting.
- Experience with strategy implementation of enterprise programs, governance, resilience, and sustainability models
- Demonstrated knowledge of classified risk management requirements, guidance, tools, and standards including RMF, NISPOM, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ICD 503 and 705, SAP, and ConMon.
- Ability to explain new or difficult concepts and lead major change initiatives.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and network skills at the executive level
- Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and demonstrate poise and ability to act comply in high pressure situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional desired certifications include CCNA, CCSP, MCSE, and/or SANS GIAC.
- PMP Certification or familiarity with project/program management methodologies.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Led change management projects.

Pay Range:Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
