Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) to join our leadership team. The CSCO will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain functions within our business. This position reports directly to the Chief Performance Officer and the successful candidate will lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed team of over 500 professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse team covering various supply chain functions, including procurement, category management, supplier relationship management, supply chain engineering, material planning and strategy, material cost estimating, subcontract administration, small business, supply chain sustainability, supply chain intelligence, supply chain systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supply vision and objectives aligned with the broader business goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a well-coordinated and communicated Supply Chain Strategic Roadmap aligning to a diverse and evolving portfolio of business. The roadmap must be comprehensive and address talent, technology, advanced supplier partnerships, supply chain digitalization leveraging AI/ML, regulatory compliance, supply chain resilience, and financial differentiation.
- Ensure efficiency and excellence in the supply chain processes while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships to accelerate innovation, increase Probability of Win (pWin) for new business opportunities, and enhance the overall supply chain performance.
- Ensure the integrity of key business systems such as Purchasing, Small Business, and Material Cost Estimating requiring approval by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Small Business Administration, or other government agencies.
- Drive supply chain sustainability initiatives, integrating environmentally conscious practices into the supply chain processes.
- Continuously assess and implement best practices to optimize the supply chain, striving for efficiency and best-in-class capabilities.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and executive presence in decision-making and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure success of manufacturing center of excellence by working closely with sector presidents, sector CFOs and manufacturing leads.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing complex supply chain functions, preferably within a technology or government contracting environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
- Qualified experience in manufacturing supply chain strategy and purchasing efficiencies.
- Executive presence and effective communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Successful candidate will have regular interaction, with Leidos CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), as well as senior executives from Fortune 500 companies.
- Established and networked in the supply chain / procurement professional community as demonstrated by active participation on panels, advisory boards, professional organizations, and engagement with supply chain students.
- Experience in obtaining and maintaining Purchasing System approval by DCMA.
- Demonstrated success in building strong businesses cases and implementing supply chain digitalization initiatives with quantifiable ROI for the business.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Relationships and experience with suppliers within the US Government Industrial Base.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15-20 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP) are a plus.
- Government clearance or ability to gain clearance is preferred (qualified candidates must be US Citizens with the ability to obtain a clearance).

Pay Range:Pay Range $245,000.00 - $393,750.00
