The Leidos External Technology Function, part of Office of Technology Tech Integration, seeks an Associate Director of Technology Partnerships to work in our Reston VA HQ.
Position Summary:
Our mission is to provide strategic advantage for Leidos and its customers through the design, development and transition of differentiated technology-centric partnerships. We are a central pillar to Leidos achieving a “best-in-class commercial partnership program” (Tom Bell, Leidos 2024 1st Quarter Earnings Call) to meet critical government market needs.
The External Technology Associate Director plans and directs all operational and financial activities, enabling the Vice President of External Technology to focus on strategic initiatives and partnership development. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be well connected across the Leidos enterprise to both drive and influence outcomes. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of Leidos technology differentiators and related commercial, emerging and academic partner ecosystems.
Primary responsibilities: •Leads, directs and reviews the work of multidisciplinary external technology team including technology partnership managers and rotational staff•Lead operations management of external technology partnership portfolio oThis includes: enterprise needs summation and prioritization; external tech partner candidate down-select & diligence pipeline; partnership design & formalization activities; partnership transition to sectors; partnership execution and ROI monitoring oThese activities require deep collaboration with business sectors and corporate functions including Office of Technology (Leadership, IRADs, Tech Transition), Chief Growth Office, Global Supply Chain, Legal, Marketing and Finance oPrepare and deliver partnership portfolio progress and result briefings to senior leadership•Lead continued development and maturation of external technology operational processes and information technology infrastructure oLead sourcing and roll-out of enterprise IT platform(s) that provide a single source of truth of external engagements for enterprise coordination & KPI tracking. Seek automation and efficiencies via data analytics and AI
Basic Qualifications: •Requires a STEM BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience, or STEM/Business/Operations Management Masters with 6+years of prior relevant experience •4+ years of demonstrated success supervising / leading multidisciplinary teams and complex operational assignments with high degree of independence. Excellent track record of talent development and mentorship •4+ years of external partner engagement experience, drawn from relevant activities including supply chain management, business capture or business development external teaming management. Demonstrated success of completed partnership agreements or similar contracts•Experience leading the planning and execution of public-facing collaboration events and symposia •Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills•Significant experience in enterprise and external relationship management•Ability to listen to, understand, prioritize, and address Leidos sector and enterprise mission needs•Excellent writing and presentation development skills
Preferred Qualifications: •Technology development, productization and sourcing experience in preferred Leidos-enabling tech areas including: artificial intelligence, software, cyber and digital engineering/systems engineering.

Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
