As a core member of this Strategic Growth Team, you will play a valuable part in supporting and executing a wide range of cost estimation activities across the Business Area’s top priority projects.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Lead development and implementation of Basis of Estimate (BOE) processes through the early phases of the project cost estimation.
Develop, organize, and execute significant estimation activities, including building industry and Leidos-internal teams, assess cost realism, and develop cost estimation strategies to win business with new and existing customers.
Demonstrable understanding of all contract types (non-IDIQ, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus).
Develop early estimation strategies aligned with capture and bid value propositions.
Develop and control estimation budgets.
Conduct reviews of cost estimates associated with business area for thoroughness, completeness and accuracy.
Ensure timely delivery of compliant and compelling cost estimates and proposal responses.
Interact routinely with all levels of Division, Business Area, and Sector management, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers, and follow through on tasking.
Brief estimation status efforts associated with primary capture efforts to senior management at specified milestones in the estimation process when material changes occur, and as needed.
Conduct after action reviews for all opportunities, document lessons learned, and identify necessary adjustments to estimation techniques, strategy, and actions.
Mentor other estimation and proposal staff in the cost estimation management process.
WHAT SETS YOU APART:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 15+ years of related experience.
Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant estimation activities, including building industry teams, assessing cost realism to shape acquisitions to respond to and win business with new and existing customers.
Extensive knowledge, experience, and success in leading and winning cost estimations of large-scale opportunities over $250M.
Strong verbal communications skills and prior experience briefing executives.
Ability to work and execute a quick reaction process for all government responses.
Ability to influence constructively and interact at the highest levels of the corporate structure.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and business acumen.
Willingness to travel, as necessary in support of the estimation, based on negotiated work location, estimated at up to 10% per month.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Ability to lead local and geographically dispersed teams.
Extreme attention to detail.
Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office to present ideas, information, and reports.
Must be a US Citizen.

Pay Range:Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
