We have an opening for a Marine/HVAC Engineer to support the USCG Ship Design Team. This position is a hybrid position with 2-3 days per week of onsite support at the USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC&R systems (including heating/cooling load, duct sizing and chill water piping calculations, equipment selection.
Conduct HVAC&R trade studies.
Lead engineers in development efforts, reviews of technical data packages and coordinate with other functional areas to complete ship design.
Basic Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship and must be eligible to be granted a security clearance.
BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field of work.
Minimum of 5 years’ documented experience relating to the design of marine HVAC and/or refrigeration systems.
Knowledge of ABS, USN, and industry standards relating to shipboard HVAC systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret security clearance.
Additional certifications, such as PE License, PMP, DHS Systems Engineering Certification, or DHS Program Management Certifications.
Experience with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs.

Pay Range:Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
