Description
Leidos is seeking a Project Manager to support a large enterprise IT contract for the Department of Defense. This role requires expertise in managing large projects, coordinating planning, procurement, installation, and support activities and tracking of physical IT equipment.
Provide customer with capabilities to modernize the full lifecycle management for delivery, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT assets.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engaging directly with Stakeholders to identify initiatives and develop business cases
- Establishing and adhering to budgets, schedules and quality standards
- Proactively identifying and remediating risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution
- Identifying project resource requirements and escalating resource constraints
- The creation and control of project plans, milestones, dependencies, critical paths, scope, budgets and other established project processes to ensure successful delivery in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Ensuring project status reporting is accurate and timely and required project deliverables meet quality and compliance standards
- Displaying strong leadership and collaboration skills in working with stakeholders and project team members to manage, inform and influence outcomes
- Managing multiple project initiatives simultaneously, demonstrating strong time management and prioritization skills
- Demonstrating ability to adapt to changing demands and work in a dynamic environment
- Provide input to Daily Logs, Weekly Activity Reports, and Monthly Reports on all network tasks performed, man hours used and parts used
- Provide monthly functional area reports summarizing work accomplished, work planned in next month and important issues occurring during the month
- Lead, manage, coach, and mentor employees
- Manage professional development, hiring, and issue resolution for a team
- Manage contractor team personnel and communicate the policies and goals of the customer
- Identify/interview candidates for all open positions
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner
- Strong leadership and accountability skills with a focus on delivering results
- Demonstrated experience with managing the planning, provisioning, and delivery of information technology services to large organizations.
- Strong ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations, including schedule management.
- Working experience in government contracting, particularly related to financial aspects and standard business practices (e.g., familiarity with and ability to interpret statements of work, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, etc.)
- Proven experience with MS Project or other scheduling tool
- Experience leading technical teams providing hardware installation, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement, remote desktop imaging, remote management, and asset tracking.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- ITIL Certification
Clearance:
- Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
- TS/SCI with specific polygraph required for Position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a polygraph.
Education:
- Requires a BA degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
- Occasional travel within the DC metropolitan area will be required.

Pay Range:Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
