Leidos, Inc. has an immediate job opening in Alexandria, Virginia for a System and Network Administrator to contribute to the support of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) Joint Data Support (JDS).
Primary Responsibilities
Provide support to the customer’s infrastructure Windows Servers by maintaining user access, installing required DoD security patches, and updating the system’s operating systems. Performs duties consistent with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for a highly secure facility. Manages limited access projects and responsible for the submission of required documentation for the Authority to Operate (ATO) issued by the DoD CIO office.
Design and implement Information Technology infrastructure requirements to support TS/SCI and SAP projects.
Planning and executing scheduled file backups using DoD Enterprise approved solutions.
Perform Database Administration for Microsoft SQL Server to include: version upgrades, database creation and user access permissions. Perform database tuning, and scheduled backup maintenance.
Plan and implement disaster recovery operations and continuity of operations (COOP).
Installs and configures of DoD Enterprise Servers, with robust, fault-tolerant data storage, and DoD STIG Compliance using the DoD Enterprise security scanning software.
Implementing and supporting Information Assurance (IA) and security activities, using the DoD Enterprise McAfee HBSS software suite, and STIG Compliance checks.
Identifies hardware and software requirements. Develops an acquisition plan, and monitors hardware and software acquisitions. Maintains a record of hardware and software.
Maintain and operate the VTC capabilities for customer on NIPRnet, SIPRnet, and JWICS.
Maintain the capability to provide infrastructure support for the TS/SCI facility.
Support onsite IT requirements for CAPE and Joint Staff conferences to include war games within the JDS conference rooms. Install and maintain standalone network with client workstations and a centralized server. Support conference specific applications, continuity of operations during conferences to include SVTC meetings and print large high resolution maps from the customer plotter.
Work with the Joint Service Provider to implement firewall rules to allow the successful use of JDS applications to internal and remote clients.
Applies vendor software patches from the DoD Software Repository to JDS systems to resolve security vulnerabilities.
Create DoD compliant workstation images for the SIPRNet and NIPRNet development networks. Support development workstations to include system failures and software upgrades. Install DoD Compliant DISA server images for both SIPRNet and NIPRNet development environments, create user account, and assign user permissions, support database administration, and data backups on both development networks. Identify hardware and software requirements for the NIPRNet and SIPRNet development environments, to include workstations and physical/virtual servers.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and a minimum of 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 + years of prior relevant experience (ability to substitute years of experience for a degree).
CompTIA Security + certification
Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI clearance
Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in management of DoD systems, networks, and IT infrastructure configuration.
Five (5) years of experience as a Network Administrator for classified and unclassified networks. Experience with HP and Dell rack mounted servers, network switches, and backup solutions.
Demonstrated experience with: DoD software approval process, Risk Management Framework, and Nessus system security scanning procedures. Implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide requirements on Windows based systems.
Classified and unclassified Video Teleconference Equipment experience.
Experience working with hardware vendors to ensure continuity of maintenance support contracts, applying updated vendor drives, and applying firmware updates.
Preferred Qualifications
Military experience
May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
Experience with ACAS and Nessus security scanning
Application of STIG settings through Group Policy
Experience with SEIM applications

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
