Leidos has an opening for a highly qualified Cyber Authorization Engineer for the Multi-Domain SolutionsDivision. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to support across all-domain large-scale weapon systems, Information Technology Systems, and Command and Control Systems to realize the Department of Defense Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). In this role you will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS)Digital Infrastructure (DI) Processing Node (PN) to design and implementsolutions that can be delivered at speed, scale, and with the necessary security to deliver operational advantages to the joint warfighter. ABMS is a top modernization priority for the Department of the Air Force and will be thebackbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across JADC2. This position will work closely with Program Managers,other domain engineers, and Government counterparts across Government and Industry partners.
This position will allow for a flexible schedule, with some telework allowed. Our preferred candidate will reside in Alexandria, VA, but we may be able to consider other locations if they are local to our sites in Richardson, Texas, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Melbourne, FL.
- Lead cyber engineering initiatives, leveraginghands-on experience in configuring ACAS/HBSS, firewalls, CDS, cloud technologies, and zero trust architectures, ensuring robust cyber defense strategies.
- Architect and implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions, demonstratingexpertise in zero trust architecture and engineering principles to enhance network security posture.
- Utilize Agile management methodologies, including Jira, to coordinate and prioritize cyber engineering tasks, facilitating efficient collaboration within technical teams and meeting project deadlines.
- Apply working knowledge of DISA STIGs and other technical cyber material to ensure compliance and adherence to cybersecurity standards, while also integrating System Security Engineering principles (NIST 800-160 v1) into project workflows.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, utilizing demonstrated hands-on technology configuration and engineering skills to develop innovative solutions for customers and effectively lead technical initiatives.
- Optionally contribute expertise in MBSE/CAMEO concepts, offering knowledge and insight into model-based systems engineering principles to enhance project understanding and communication, although not directly hands-on.
- Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange in support of Program Objectives
- Participate in Working Groups and IPTs, informal and formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews.
- Additional responsibilities as needed by the program.
- Bachelors degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience
- 5-7 years of Cyber Engineering / Technical Hands on (Configure ACAS/HBSS, firewall, CDS, cloud, zero trust)
- 1-2 years’ experience with zero trust architecture and engineering or understands Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
- Demonstrated hands on technology configuration and engineering qualities through prior experience working with technical teams find solutions for customers and leading technical teams
- 1-2 years’ experience with Agile Management to include use of Jira
- Working knowledge of DISA STIGs and other technical cyber material
- Working knowledge System Security Engineering (NIST 800-160 v1)
- US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Demonstrable knowledge of integration engineering concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- DOD 8140 IAT I or II
- Knowledge of MBSE/CAMEO, not hands on, but knowledge and experience with terms and use
- Prefer CISSP, but others are okay:
- GSEC: GIAC Security Essentials Certification: SEC401: SANS Security Essentials Bootcamp Style
- GICSP: Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional: ICS410: ICS/SCADA Security Essentials
- Experience working with the following tools:
- ACAS (or equivalent)
- HBSS (or equivalent)
- Firewall (or equivalent)
- CDS (or equivalate)
- Cloud Technology
- Zero Trust Technology

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
