The National Security Sector at Leidos has an opening for an Principle Industrial Security Representative -Team Lead to support programs in our Chantilly, Vienna, and Reston, VA locations. This individual will have responsibility for a team that is geographically located throughout the Northern, VA area. This is an opportunity to use your experience in SCI security management in support of our operations.
Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Team Lead is responsible for the security oversight and management of the security program for multiple Intelligence Community programs. Implementing the industrial security program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met.•The successful candidate will interface with all levels of Leidos personnel including having a close working relationship with Senior Leadership Executives. The candidate will be responsible to creating and obtaining an ongoing relationship with government security and program management personnel to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), and Program Classification Guides.•The position requires a self-motivated candidate that is capable of leading a team with minimal direction.•The candidate will be required to manage and conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.•The Team Lead must possess the confidence to make critical security decisions concerning high value contracts and to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information.•Provide clear guidance to company employees, and recommend modifications to operations policies or procedures as appropriate.•Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system and audits.•Manage and conduct security violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.•Perform physical, personnel and administrative security responsibilities for multiple SCIFs, which often calls for requests to government security representatives regarding accreditations, personnel actions, classification reviews and working with other government facility sponsors to draft co-use and joint-use agreements and MOUs/MOAs for shared space.•Ability to respond to after hour alarms•Ability to work extended hours as required•Experience in creating and authoring security volumes for request for proposals.
Basic Qualifications•Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years experience from an accredited college in a related discipline. Additional professional experience may be used in lieu of college degree.•4-6 years of experience directly leading or managing a team•Proven ability to work with employees at the Executive Leadership level and provide daily updates and briefs on security matters as required•Experience working with and building relationships with government security counterparts•Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other government regulations (e.g. Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs)•Self-starter and customer service orientated•Commitment to security - creating and delivering the highest value to customers•Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations•Strong understanding of Physical Security requirements of ICD 705 to meet contractual needs•Experience and working knowledge completing Fixed Facility Checklist, Construction Security Plans and Tempest Checklist•Ability to manage Sensitive Compartmented Information programs•Thorough understanding and working experience with government and corporate security databases such as Scattered Castles and SIMS•Thorough experience consolidating SCI nomination packages for submission to customer. Experience reviewing SF 86s, Foreign Contact Forms and other supplemental forms •Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate•Strong communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to conduct oral briefings•Candidates must possess an active Top Secret / SCI with Poly
Preferred Qualifications:•FSO Certification for possessing or non-possessing facilities•CPSO or CSSO Security training/certificate(s)•Operational Security Experience•Experience developing and implementing security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and emergency action plans•Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems•Experience with SCIF construction•Resourceful in solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities•Communications Security experience•Member of Security Organizations/affiliations (e.g. ISWG or NCMS)

Pay Range:Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
