Description
Leidos has an opening for a highly qualified Windows Platform Engineer for the Multi-Domain Solutions Division. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to support across all-domain large-scale weapon systems, Information Technology Systems, and Command and Control Systems to realize the Department of Defense Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). In this role you will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Processing Node (PN) to design and implement solutions that can be delivered at speed, scale, and with the necessary security to deliver operational advantages to the joint warfighter. ABMS is a top modernization priority for the Department of the Air Force and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across JADC2. This position will work closely with Program Managers, other domain engineers, and Government counterparts across Government and Industry partners.
This position will have a hybrid work schedule, and can be worked from any of the following locations: Alexandria, VA, Salt Lake City, Utah, Dallas, TX or Melbourne, FL.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build software and systems to manage infrastructure, platforms, and applications to enable the continuous integration and continuous deployment of software products.
- Apply best practices for infrastructure and platform provisioning, configuration, management, and automated software deployments using DevSecOps pipeline technologies.
- Leverage open-source and fit-for-purpose tools to manage private, hybrid, and public cloud infrastructures and platforms via code, designing reusable infrastructure and platform components for scalable, highly-available, secure architectures for applications.
- Evaluate and apply best practices to facilitate continuous improvement that can be applied across teams.
- Support the development and deployment of prototypes and solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services.
- Collaborate with software developers to ensure smooth migrations to the Cloud.
- Leverage Atlassian tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence to track development activities, control source code, and author documentation.
- Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.
- Provide input/suggestions on technical approach to the Agile Team Leads.
- Participate in informal/formal technical interchanges and formal reviews.
- Additional responsibilities as needed by the program.
Basic Qualifications
- BS and 8+ years of prior relevant DevSecOps experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant DevSecOps experience.
- US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance if needed by the program.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong experience in establishing, maintaining, and growing DevSecOps resources.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with widely dispersed team members.
- DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (Security+, CISSP, etc.).
- 3-5 years of experience working with Azure to include:
- Virtual desktop support
- Office 365 deployment and management
- Azure Active Directory Services
- Patch and update management of VDI infrastructure
- VDI image maintenance and management with Packer
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong desire for automation and a track record of flexibility in work roles.

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
