Leidos’ Civil Group Mission Assurance team currently has an opening for a shared resource between the Risk Management and Configuration Management team in our Webster, Texas office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Cargo Mission Contract (CMC). From hardware and experiments to toothpaste and food, the International Space Station (ISS) crew requires a steady stream of supplies via NASA’s Cargo Mission Contract. Leidos plans, processes, and packs critical cargo to keep the orbiting outpost fully stocked.
US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance are required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute audits to determine the level and effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control in the audit entity or area and identify possibilities for improvement.
- Gather and analyze internal and external data concerning the audit entity or area in order to support the risk assessment and scoping process.
- Report on findings of executed audits and translate improvement opportunities into conclusions.
- Participate in the annual Audit risk assessment of the organization, which drives the annual audit plan.
- Invest in getting to know the organization, its processes, and related regulatory expectations.
- Participate in projects to implement new systems, procedures, and processes to realize desired project results.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal customers to ensure understanding of audits/procedures and cooperation.
- Partner with colleagues to enhance Audit departmental processes.
- Meeting Support/Recording Actions: Supporting Major Milestone Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, Table-Top Design Reviews).
- Review BNF Pre-Coordination and Certification Packages – Provide input to requesting PM.
- Perform data validation within eTOMS Scope of Work (SOW) and Ground Rules & Assumptions (GR&A) of hardware Items up for certification – deliverable requirements.
- Perform data validation of hardware Items up for certification.
- Process Pre-Coordination and Certification Package uploads to final NASA repository
- Process project analytical data uploads to the various NASA repositories CM Flight CoFR Support: Processing CM Sub-endorsements for closure.
- Perform CM Work Order reviews and construction of ABCL from drawings including DCNs and redline incorporation and/or leveraging previously delivered ABCLs to aid in the formation of new ABCLs.
- Perform reconciliation - As-Design vs As-Built.
- Review/provide feedback on developing drawings (new builds) and/or revisions with a focus on Configuration Management requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Experience with AS9100/ISO900 (facilitation and auditing processes; Compliance based thinking regarding ISO and Process Standards; requirements identification; compliance; Verification of Effectiveness)
- Risk Management knowledge and experience (Corrective and Preventative Action; Root Cause Analysis; mitigation recommendations)
- Previous auditing experience with Quality Management System audits
- Experience with Continual Improvement processes
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with internal and external parties to agree upon concepts, practices and approaches to resolve issues on projects
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret Notes/Flag Notes and incorporate into ABCLs
- Fluency in Microsoft Office tools and applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting NASA programs
- Previous knowledge of and familiarity with Cargo Mission Contract work scope and processes
- Experience with the myCMC SharePoint site and associated tool suites
- Extensive knowledge of CMCs CM Hardware Accountable List (HAL) process (update processing, reviewing MODs and J-9 tables)
- Knowledge in EDMS Cabinet structure/design and permission requirements
- Knowledge in project cabinet/setup in ICE Wiki

Pay Range:Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
