Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Assistant Facilities Security Officer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The selected individual will report to the FSO, to assist in leading and implementing the DoD Industrial Security Program, locally. As AFSO you will assist the FSO to coordinate and monitor highly sensitive aspects of the DoD Industrial Security Program and security activities while ensuring compliance with Government and company security policies and procedures.
Areas of responsibility include programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, equipment, and/or personnel and physical security. You will interface with all levels of Leidos personnel (to include senior management) and government personnel to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manual 5205.07, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards, Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254), and Program Classification Guides
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/ dispatch/ destruction/ mail logs, visit certs, etc.
- Protect and manage classified information and equipment developed by, or entrusted to, the organization, requiring in-depth understanding of security policies, procedures, and oversight requirements for the proper classification, access, handling, storage, and destruction of classified or sensitive material.
- Send, receive, process, reproduce and/or destroy classified documents.
- Ensure all local security compliance documentation is updated and current
- Ensure all cognizant security government databases are updated and current
- Maintain and manage DISS records for cleared personnel
- Ensure all cleared personnel under the local facility complete mandatory annual security training
- Conduct new employee security indoctrinations as well as ensuring all other annual briefing requirements (e.g., NATO, CNWDI, RD/FRD) are completed
- Conduct security debriefings when applicable
- Conduct annual security self-inspections and support DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments or Continuous Monitoring Engagements
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing programs ensuring adherence to federal laws, regulations and directives for the classification management.
- Provide clear guidance to company employees, and recommend modifications to operations policies or procedures as appropriate
- Maintaining the repository for cognizant security assessment data for local facility
- Work as a team player, exhibit flexibility, and excellent organizational skills. Analyze moderate problems and provide focused solutions with the ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences
- Bring security risks to the attention of the senior management as identified
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent experience and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2 years or prior relevant experience
- 10+ years related experience in lieu of degree
- Completed DCSA FSO Curriculum – with certificate of completion
- Strong working knowledge of National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the ICD standards
- Working knowledge of SF-86, SF-312, DD-254, 441, 441-1, SF-328, and other government required forms
- Thorough understanding of security databases such as DISS, SAM.gov, and NISS
- Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate.
- Strong communications skills, both oral and written
- Working knowledge of the SIMS user interface
- Experience conducting security incident inquiries
- Resourceful in solving problem and capitalizing on opportunities
- Security Professional Certifications/Affiliations
Must be a U S citizen and possess an active Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI
Must be a resident of Beavercreek, OH or be willing to relocate to the Beavercreek. OH area.

Pay Range:Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00
