Description
Leidos is seeking a Law Clerk I to work onsite in Washington, DC. You will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
Works under the direction of a Project Supervisor or Project Manager.
Performs complex legal research for the trial staff.
Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.
Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege.
Assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.
Strong experience with Relativity and document review in said platform.
Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Experience performing complex legal research.
Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment
Trial experience
Current or active clearance.
This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. Leidos ensures that all provisions are satisfied. The pay for this position will be $37.23/hr.
