Leidos is seeking a Trade Association Manager to join our Leidos Government Affairs team. This is a five day/week in-person position based in our Washington, DC office. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining close working relationships with trade associations where Leidos is a member. The Manager will also serve as the primary liaison between these trade associations, Leidos Government Affairs, and Leidos business sectors. The position is responsible for developing and executing strategies and plans in concert with our trade associations that support Leidos business goals and strategic objectives. The manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.
Responsibilities:
Build strong, effective, credible, and trusted relationships with trade associations and/or think tanks where Leidos is a member.
Support a range of issues that align with Leidos business objectives and goals.
Uphold a reputation as a trusted, credible source of information among key trade association stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with Leidos Government Affairs team to share important information and issues of focus for the trade associations.
Provide in-depth analysis of meetings, conferences, and events held by our trade associations.
Leverage trade association support for Leidos priorities and programs.
Develop strategies and tactics to guide and defend Leidos priorities, programs, and initiatives before these associations.
Participate in and produce detailed reports as requested on trade association events and conferences.
Interface with Leidos executives and leaders; develop and maintain internal partnerships; and provide proactive insight and support for Leidos.
Monitor annual priorities set forth by trade associations where Leidos is a member.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a business-related field.
8+ years of relevant experience, of which the majority should directly involve trade associations.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of the U.S. Congress and inner workings of Capitol Hill.
Command of legislative processes, especially the federal budget and appropriations processes.
History of interaction with key U.S. federal agencies.
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with trade association leadership, elected officials, think tanks, and industry partners.
Strong written and oral communication, research, and leadership skills.
Highly proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to develop successful solutions.
Must be highly skilled in the use of persuasion and influence.
Organized, self-motivated, and accountable; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively at all levels, and to engage comfortably with senior executives.
MS Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
