Description
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Workers Compensation Specialist to work at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This HR division manages all workers' compensation claims DOT-wide and provides comprehensive/expert guidance and direction to both internal and external customers. The selected Workers Compensation Specialist will ensure that program management is in accordance with government regulations and procedures and in a manner consistent with all DOL, DOT, FAA, and AHR performance targets and metrics. Additionally, he/she will ensure established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments, but allow considerable discretion for employees to select the most appropriate approach(es) or develop new approaches. Assignments regularly require interpretations of internal and external policies and extrapolations from precedents.
Resolves most problems and work issues without the assistance of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Develops and recommends approaches to address current and anticipated problems and issues. Work is reviewed rarely, typically through status reports and at project completion, to ensure policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or other work activities.
The selected candidate will be tasked with working on challenging case management activities and program management assignments. Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional.

Pay Range:Pay Range $42,250.00 - $76,375.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
