The Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) has an exciting opening for you as our next TS/SCI cleared Mid-Senior Level Infrastructure Engineer supporting DIA-National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) under our 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract. We are seeking an experienced Mid-Senior Level Infrastructure Engineer to join our innovative team and lead the implementation and automation of security compliance measures. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong cross functional collaboration in areas such as, but not limited to, development, production, and QA in a dynamic and fast paced environment. While most work is conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and, occasionally, some tasks may be performed remotely. Percentage of remote work will vary based on client requirements/deliverables.
As an integral member of the team, you will work closely with other infrastructure, network, and system engineers on the following key tasks:
Lead the design and implementation of automated solutions for infrastructure, operating system, and application level STIGs and SRGs.
Conduct DISA STIG/SRG checklist assessments to ensure continuous compliance.
Manage and administer Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Implement security controls and configurations in accordance with best practices.
Design and implement configuration management solutions using SaltStack.
Ensure consistency and security across the infrastructure through SaltStack automation.
Utilize HashiCorp Terraform to define and automate infrastructure deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and maintainable IaC practices.
Implement and manage secrets management solutions using HashiCorp Vault
Ensure secure storage and distribution of sensitive information.
Improve existing infrastructure to incorporate latest technology best practices and cross application integrations.
You demonstrate clear devotion to the DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) mindset and meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field and 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on security automation or Masters with 1-2 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on security automation
Must possess TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph
Strong Linux administration skills with expertise in securing Linux-based environments
Experience in system integrations testing through a full system development life cycle, including implementing test plans, test cases and test processes.
Proven experience in implementing security compliance measures using DISA STIGs/SRGs
Hands-on experience with SaltStack for configuration management
Proficiency in HashiCorp Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management
Strong automation scripting skills
Working in an Agile project management environment
Experience documenting test results for corrective actions, reporting and audits.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Enthusiastic with the ability to work well on a team and a self-starter who can work on their own.

Experience with data engineering tools such as Kubernetes/Rancher, Cloudera
Experience with Configuration Management and IaC tools such as Salt or Ansible
Experience with scripting languages, CI/CD tools, Elasticsearch, or Gitlab
Experience working in an air-gapped environments.
Experience working in large computing environments (> 1,000 end-points)

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
