Leidos is hiring a Junior Software Engineer in the Ft. Meade, MD area. The candidate must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered.
Program Summary
Leidos is a preferred subcontractor on a large, multi-year contract that provides hardware and software sustainment of large IT systems. Contractors perform dataflow changes, lifecycle management including modernization of aging hardware and software, as well as system monitoring.
Job Summary
The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
Works individually or as part of a team.
Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
Resolves software problem reports.
Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
Provides input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Personnel across this TTO are performing application development as well as integration, test, and deployment, and are working with LINUX, REDHAWK, Python, C++, and MATLAB
Required Qualifications
BS and 2+ yrs of Software Engineering experience or 6+ years of Software Engineering experience without a degree
TS/SCI with Polygraph

Pay Range:Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
