In this role, you will be responsible for technical and program management for two G&C Teams providing Engineering Services in support of LPD 17 Flight II DD&C and the LAW Program’s LSM Ship design from requirements development through award and DD&C.
Location : This is a hybrid remote job. Candidate must be local to our Washington DC office in order to attend meetings on average 1-2 days per week.
Essential responsibilities include:
Managing program(s) profit and loss (P&L), costs, scheduling, quality and timely delivery of engineering services.
Supporting PMS 317 and PMS 377 and NAVSEA 05 in support of ship design, engineering and construction of LPD and LSM class ships.
Staffing, mentoring and leading multidisciplinary teams to support your portfolio.
Supporting our ISO-9001 engineering process and development methodology.
Interacting with customers regarding programmatic and technical issues.
Candidate Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship and an Active Security Clearance.
BS or Advanced Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or other relevant Engineering degree balanced with professional experience in NAVY ship design
15(+) Years of proven experience providing relevant program management services.
20(+) Years of proven experience in NAVY ship design, engineering and construction.
Strong network with NAVSEA 05, PEO Ships, PEO IWS and their NAVY Support Labs in Philadelphia, Dahlgren and Carderock.
Prefer someone with experience with NAVWARCOM, NAVAIR and MARCORP for ship integration of their systems on NAVY Ships.
Strong background in NAVY ship design, engineering, and production.
Experience with Amphibious ships, specifically with LPD 17 Class ships is desired.
Experience leading diverse multidisciplinary technical teams.
Familiarity with the DOD/DON acquisitions process and experience in supporting large programs and/or experience with US Navy, DOD, and commercial maritime surface ships.
Must have a deep understanding of technical, financial, budgeting, programmatic, business development and personnel management for government services contracts.
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in standard MS Office suite.

Pay Range:Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
