Are you ready to join a team of intelligent and motivated professionals in shaping and improving the consumer fraud protection industry? Leidos is in search of a Generative AI Solutions Developer who excels in leveraging existing Gen AI to create innovative solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate is skilled in prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, and deploying AI technologies at scale for production use, ensuring AI solutions meet or exceed quality and performance requirements. This role also requires an understanding of operating solutions using cloud technologies including Azure and AWS platforms.
Responsibilities:
Apply prompt engineering techniques to effectively utilize generative AI models for content creation, data analysis, and problem-solving.
Integrate AI functionalities into applications and systems using API-based models (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock) or by managing open-source models in a cloud environment.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
Ensure the secure and efficient deployment of AI solutions on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), managing resources and optimizing performance.
Ensure that all AI solutions are developed and deployed in an ethical, unbiased, and responsible manner, adhering to industry best practices and company guidelines.
Fine-tune Large Language Models to enhance their performance and relevance to specific customer needs.
Stay updated with the latest in AI technologies and cloud solutions to continually enhance our offerings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
A growth mindset with a proven track record of learning and implementing new technologies and methodologies in the AI and cloud computing domains. Must demonstrate adaptability in the face of evolving project requirements and technology landscapes.
At least 4 years of experience including production deployments of AI/machine learning solutions with demonstrated business value delivery.
Proven expertise in prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, and embeddings to tailor AI outputs to achieve needed quality levels.
Experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure or AWS), including deployment, management, and optimization of AI models in the cloud to deliver needed performance levels.
Familiarity with AI model fine-tuning techniques and tools, with a focus on generative AI applications.
Proficiency in programming languages relevant to AI development (e.g., Python) and understanding of API integration.
Able to obtain public trust clearance.
Preferred Qualities:
Demonstrated projects or case studies showing effective use of generative AI to solve business problems.
Knowledge of security best practices for AI solutions in the cloud.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and with clients.
Leverage big data analytics tools, such as Databricks, to process and analyze large datasets, enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of generative AI models.
Experience supporting federal government customers.
Located in the DC Metro Area.

Pay Range:Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
