The NISC IV program within the Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a National Airspace Systems (NAS) Security Program Analyst with Department of Defense ATC/Aviation experience to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, you will provide support FAA Systems Operations Security Group in addressing a broad range of issues, to include the integration of Unmanned Airspace Systems (UAS) in the NAS from a security perspective. Support FAA System Operations Security and implement the Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) workflow for cabinet-level departments with statutory authority to use this technology (DOD, DOE, DHS, DOJ). Communicate and coordinate with the Department of Defense and other federal partners.
Primary Responsibilities
Review C-UAS coordination artifacts provided by departments, agencies and installations for suitability in meeting established objective standards. Work closely with established points of contact within the Department of Defense to resolve any discrepancies. Duties may include monitoring and analyzing strategic and operational aspects of military developments within key countries. Attend meetings with department-level staff and FAA leadership to communicate status. Track and Report planned UAS Security related activities. Provide detailed and updated reports of C-UAS operational deployments and Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR’s). Track Metrics and create reports on the progress of selected activities. Provide written products to the government when required. Support the FAA in the development of a plan for the certification, permitting, authorizing, or allowing of the deployment of technologies or systems for the detection and mitigation of unmanned aircraft systems. Other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Normally requires a BA degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of related work experience can be substituted for the lack of a degree at the hiring managers discretion.
