The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and currently has an opening for a SolarWinds SME located at Ft. Meade, MD. POSITION SUMMARY:The SolarWinds Subject Matter Expert role delivers and supports large scale-network, systems, applications, services, and business activity monitoring and alerting solutions. The position involves the deployment and support of tools used to monitor network, systems, and applications. This position will work with team member to gather and vet monitoring requirements from stakeholders (customers and teammates), and deliver solutions leveraging SolarWinds and other enterprise monitoring tools. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: •Must hold an active Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Daily management of network monitoring infrastructure (servers and applications) including configuration management, extending current capabilities, maintenance, and Tier 3 support
•Serve as SolarWinds engineer, senior leader and/or subject matter expert (SME) responsible for SolarWinds product suite across multiple enterprise networks cluster implementations.
•Provide technical training and documentation for network monitoring
•Strong expertise in SolarWinds, enterprise network monitoring tools and/or NetFlow analysis for either commercial and DoD (preferred) environments.
•Skilled in SQL queries as well as SQL server and Window Operating System (OS) server management.
•Assesses current SolarWinds implementations for each network and recommend changes to distributed deployments to include SQL databases, web pollers, data sources, users, custom apps/dashboards/views.
•Support day-to-day technical communication systems and incident tickets in support of operations.
•Monitors health and performance of tools and various applications
•Perform root cause analysis, recommend, and implement tactical and strategic solutions to problems.
•Support internal and external websites, fault isolation, performance, quality controls, DES Enterprise Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS) inspection and analysis.
•Develop, update and document SolarWinds architecture, operational processes, and training materials.
•Manage the addition, deletion, and editing of all DES devices and views.
•Create and drive strategy and standardization of monitoring across identified networks, systems and applications.
•Add additional servers to cluster; Install/upgrade/patch new software to servers.
•Help the support team solving support tickets (ServiceNow / Remedy) on an adhoc basis. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•Enterprise monitoring and/or NetFlow analysis end-user experience or preferably administration in a large-scale environment.
•SolarWinds Certified Professional: SAM or NCM or NPM or SEM or NTA or DPA or OAD.
•DoD IAT Level II certified (CompTIA Security+ ce).
•Candidate should have 4+ years of years of hands-on experience in: System Integrator and/or administrator for SolarWinds nodes, users, systems, custom views reports, dashboards, simple/complex alerts and 3rd party onboarding.
•Demonstrated advanced diagnostics, analytical, troubleshooting skills.
•Good knowledge related to Infrastructure monitoring, networking management, system operations, application tools implementation and integration with 3rd party systems
•Knowledge of data communications, local-area networking (LAN), wide-area networking (WAN), servers, appliances, routers, switches, and firewalls.
•Network (Layer 2, 3) LAN/WAN knowledge.
•Thorough understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) routing, switching, and OSI model.

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
