Description
Provide subject matter expertise and support to senior staff within the Special Security Directorate (SSD) at ODNI/NCSC. Tasks may include but are not limited to reviewing and analyzing personnel security policy and implementation guidance; providing oversight functions on personnel security policy, practices, functions, and authorities across the Executive Branch; and drafting reports, talking points, briefings, and guidance on personnel security programs, processes, and performance. Candidates may also be expected to provide input into the substantive requirements and implementation for the automated collection of personnel security metrics submitted to ODNI by Departments and Agencies; and provide analysis and assist in drafting responses for SSD’s Congressionally Directed Actions (CDAs). SSD operates in a highly collaborate environment and this hire will be expected to act as an advisor to senior staff and be capable of representing ODNI in meetings and working groups with industry partners.
Requirements:
TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
Demonstrated experience with applying personnel security principles and practices to include Background Investigations, Adjudications, SCI procedures, and Trusted Workforce 2.0.
Demonstrated experience in developing, analyzing, and evaluating personnel security programs to meet mission requirements.
Demonstrated ability to apply a wide range of personnel security concepts, principles, and practices to resolve problems and develop guidance across a variety of circumstances and environments.
Familiarity with SecEA and IC Directives, Executive Orders, and applicable government-wide standards and memorandums establishing policy for Personnel Security Vetting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Typically requires a BA degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
