Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to support an enterprise IT program in northern Virginia.  The Cloud Solutions Architect will oversee the implementation and operation of the client’s cloud infrastructure.

A current TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required for this position.  We do not have the ability to sponsor clearance processing for this role.

Our client supports analysts through the provision of large datasets, methodologies, and data visualizations to address pressing intelligence questions. The client requires support developing and maintaining a cloud-based data environment to transport, store, extract, transform, and load (ETL), and disseminate data solutions. This will require experienced support in data engineering, cloud architecture, and application development. The work includes engaging regularly with data scientists, analysts, and managers.

The Cloud Architect will oversee the implementation and operation of the client's cloud infrastructure, to include;

• Supporting decommissioning existing systems and re-engineering new solutions in cross-domain environments to maintain service availability across product lines,
• Facilitating connections among stakeholder, enterprise, and partner systems,
• Developing and deploying multiple environments for development and testing, managing dependencies to ensure minimal degradation of service,
• Exploring, costing, and facilitating contract drafting for cloud and other solutions,
• Troubleshooting issues with existing systems,
• Ascertaining Levels of Effort (LOE) for solutions,
• Developing and implementing System Security Plans and related documentation.

Basic Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• Typically requires BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud services, including long-term storage options.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud-based database services.
• Demonstrated experience with developing and analyzing options for storing data in a cloud environment.
• Demonstrated experience integrating cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience optimizing costs over time for a dynamic cloud environment.
• Demonstrated experience with containers and server-less technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with Python, Bash, and Terraform.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with source control (Git), continuous build and delivery (Jenkins), issue management (Jira), documentation and collaboration (Confluence), automated testing, and infrastructure or configurations.
• Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps solutions and tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with the client’s data environment.
• Demonstrated experience in storage and backup recovery systems.
• Demonstrated experience in the cyber security domain.
• Demonstrated experience working with data scientists or other technical analysts.
• Demonstrated experience with SQL database structures and mapping between SQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience with ETL processes, devices and software such as Apache Nifi.
• Demonstrated experience with large scale data compute or processing clusters such as Hadoop.
