The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for an SAP Transformational Architect. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help drive department-wide business reform for the customer by integrating transportation and financial processes at the transaction level to optimize financial management of the Transportation of Things that support the Department of Defense financial auditability requirements and closing identified auditability gaps. The customer is seeking a multifaceted solution consisting of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities and Policy changes as well as the implementation of a commercial-off-the-shelf Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE). This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work with clients to understand their business goals and develop a strategy, architecture vision, methodology & development process to bring innovation to Leidos's S/4HANA customers for achieving those goals.
- Develop Basis of Estimates and financial models to articulate the expected Resources and level of effort for projects.
- Work with project teams to monitor and report on project performance, identifying risks and opportunities to maximize business value.
- Proactively work with the Business Development and capture teams, pitching to C-level and support sales trajectories.
- Influence SAP’s customers to maximize their investment into SAP solutions and effectively increasing cloud adoption.
- Design solutions that can take advantage of SAP BTP and other and integrate with service from hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- An important aspect of the role will involve working with customers and helping them improve their business process through innovations with various tech stacks.
- Agility, evaluating new and upcoming technologies across any stack and implementing them to help build products is a key focus area for this role.
- You will be at the fusion of business and technology with a high level of hands-on along with architectural work.
- Support the Business Development team in presales activities, provide capture support to strategic initiatives.
What does Leidos need from me?
- Must be able to be cleared for a DOD Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship required.
- Masters degree with 15 to 20 years or Doctorate with 13 to 16 years of prior relevant experience to include at least 6 to 10 years working with and implementing transformation SAP solutions.
- Highly experienced and proven track record working with/implementing and transformation SAP solutions.
- Experienced with large-scale transformation projects in SAP environments, with hands-on experience of at least one S/4HANA transformation project.
- SAP ECC and S/4HANA, including SAP industry specific Transportation, Finance, Logistics and Planning solutions experience.
- Familiar with Agility Layer deployments as part of the SAP solution.
- Possess deep technical skills in software architecture and cloud computing as well as very strong written and public communication skills.
- Adept at advising and mentoring our clients as well as your colleagues.
- Constantly on top of innovation and incorporate that to develop a strong vision while creating buy-in from partners and senior management.
- Strong design and architecture skills with DOD Experience in the overall architecture of software applications for products and solutions
- Firm understanding of how SAP is developed, implemented and leveraged to bring increased capabilities to market.
- Strong knowledge of SAPs processes and experience in enterprise software development
- Collaborating with all development process contributors, including Product Managers, Architects, Project Management, Scrum Masters, Developers, User Interface Developers, and DevOps to ensure successful product delivery.
- Develop expertise on Product Standards like Security and Performance and incorporate them into the design.
- Analytical problem-solver with strong industry and business acumen
- Strong understanding DOD security concepts and how applications are deployed in secret environments.
- Ability to provide functional and technical guidance to ensure that implementation projects are in line with standard methodologies and policies to meet business goals.
- Working with DevOps methodologies and tools to establish and execute development processes and pipelines.
- Must be passionate about working in a start-up-style environment where they must do what's needed for achieving success.
Favorable if you have:
- Current Level III Defense Acquisition University (DAU), PgMP or PMP certification, or ability and willingness to obtain certification.
- Large scale transformation program management experience is preferred.

Pay Range:Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
