Leidos is seeking an International Government Affairs Manager to join our Leidos Government Affairs team. This is a five day/week in-person position based in our Washington, DC office with alternating on-site presence at our headquarters in Reston, VA. The position is responsible for developing and executing strategies and plans advancing Leidos’ International business interests that require policy advocacy of the Federal level, with primary focus on Capitol Hill and third-party advocacy. The Manager will serve as the principal liaison between Leidos Government Affairs and Leidos business sectors involved in international markets and will report to the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong, effective, credible, and trusted relationships with key Congressional Members and staff, industry coalitions, and allied organizations.
- Uphold a reputation as a trusted, credible source of information among congressional members and staff and other key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain key relationships with embassy staff or other international partners where potential Leidos interests are involved (in collaboration with Leidos business sectors and their business objectives.)
- Work collaboratively with the Leidos Government Affairs team to share important information and issues of concern on international opportunities and initiatives.
- Provide in-depth analysis of meetings, conferences, and events related to advocacy on Leidos international priorities.
- Leverage support for all Leidos priorities and programs across the enterprise as part of the Government Affairs team when directed by the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.
- Develop strategies and tactics to guide and defend Leidos priorities, programs, and initiatives.
- Interface with Leidos executives and leaders; develop and maintain internal partnerships; and provide proactive insight and support for Leidos.
Monitor annual priorities related to international pursuits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in an International Relations associated field.
- 7-12 years of relevant experience, of which the majority should directly involve international studies, foreign military sales, or international strategy.
- Candidate must have a working knowledge of the International Market involvement of a public company and U.S. based think-tanks influencing foreign policy.
- History of interaction with key U.S. federal agencies and business executives.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with U.S. and foreign government leadership, elected officials, think tanks, and industry partners.
- Strong written and oral communication, research, and leadership skills.
- Highly proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to develop successful solutions.
- Must be highly skilled in the use of persuasion and influence.
- Organized, self-motivated, and accountable; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively at all levels, and to engage comfortably with senior executives.
- MS Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Pay Range:Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
