SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of NGEN-R, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
The SMIT-MCEN program for Leidos currently has an opening for a Communications Network Engineer to work at Camp Pendleton, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the SMIT-MCEN mission. The Communications Network Engineer will evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems.
Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Schedule conversions and cutovers.
Administer LAN/BAN/WANs.
Coordinate with all responsible users and sites.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Must possess an active Security+ certification.
Must have at least 4 years of relevant experience.
US Citizen with an active DOD Secret
Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and test of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.
Preferred experience in configuration and troubleshooting of encryption devices.

Pay Range:Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
