Description
Leidos is seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) for a customer activity at a customer site in Northern California. The CPSO’s primary function will be to oversee facility, personnel, and network security on behalf of the Government Program Security Officer (GPSO) and will be responsible for executing procedures and processes to provide physical protection for personnel and government property and administering day-to-day security risk programs. The CPSO will support and conduct internal investigations in accordance with customer legal requirements and may include implementing and providing guidance and recommendations to customer leadership on personal or physical security issues such as security training, regulatory requirements, security policies and procedures and emerging trends in physical and or personal security.
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of security practices, advanced techniques and solutions and will recommend and implement new solutions, processes, policies, standards in support of program security strategy and operations.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring strict adherence to the provisions of the NISPOM, its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, ICD, DoD and SAP policies
- Developing and executing policies and procedures for safeguarding Special Access Program (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral data in support of US military operations
- Communicating with customer executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.
- Providing day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide appropriate recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems.
- Identifying vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to test, training, and operational activities
- Developing, implementing, and training the Operations Security program
- Briefing all levels of personnel, both in the government and senior civilian services, on a variety of security related topics
- Ensuring timely notification of pertinent security matters to higher leadership
- Conducting investigations of any loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified and/or sensitive information, including conducting preliminary inquiries and generating damage assessments resulting from the loss of classified information.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Industrial Security or related field and 12-15 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 10-13 year of relevant experience
Security Clearance:
- Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
- Willingness to submit to and successfully complete a Counterintelligence polygraph
Other Requirements:
- Must have the ability to work in a very dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, IC, civilian personnel and industry partners.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
Desired:
- Federal Law Enforcement experience
- Experience in Counterintelligence investigations and insider threat detection and mitigation.

Pay Range:Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00
