The Leidos Defense Group has multiple openings for Cyber Defense Analysts for multiple levels including Journeyman and Senior level. These positions are located within multiple locations including Beale and Joint Base Langley. These opportunities are a part of a large Military Intelligence Program supporting the USAF Air Combat Command’s Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS). Applicant develops content for cyber defense tools, analyze and report system security posture trends, analyze and report organizational security posture trends, ensure cybersecurity-enabled products or other compensating security control technologies reduce identified risk to an acceptable level. Performs engineering, system administration, or network manager functions with privileged-level access to control, manage, or configure DCGS information systems. Assess and monitor cybersecurity related to system implementation and testing practices, plan and recommend modifications or adjustments based on exercise results or system environment. Provides cybersecurity recommendations to DCGS leadership based on significant threats and vulnerabilities.
We are expecting award and funding of these positions in February 2024.
Primary Roles/Duties
Responsible for supporting the Vulnerability Management, Security Patching and Configuration Management program.
Oversees assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave.
Identify systems/networks that deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
Test security patches on various operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and deploying the security patches to the respective endpoints.
Manage vulnerability and configuration scanning tools, like setting up vulnerability scanners, scheduling scans, tuning scanning profiles, etc.
Use asset risk profiles, vulnerability severity ratings, and threat information to communicate priorities for remediating vulnerabilities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree; additional years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 3 to 10 years of experience in Cyber Security.
TS/SCI required,
DoD 8570 Compliance.
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure and/or GCP).
Experience with designing systems architecture.
Knowledge of malware families and network attack vectors.
Work experience in system security architecture and security solutions.

Previous AF DCGS weapon system experience is highly desired.
