Are you looking for a career that will make an impact?Leidos is currently seeking a full-time Research Study Coordinator who will provide support to Principal Investigators in the Psychological Health and Readiness Department at the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA. The Research Study Coordinator will assist with all aspects of study coordination for several studies examining how individual and organizational factors including operational stressors impact the health and readiness of military service members. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of study implementation including protocol execution, communication with stakeholders, participant enrollment, data collection, and generation of project deliverables. The successful candidate will frequently perform tasks with minimal supervision, but will also work closely with Principal Investigators, subject matter experts, research assistants, and other project members.

The ideal candidate will be organized, able to take initiative, and work well both independently and as part of a research team. In addition, they will have demonstrated excellent communication skills needed to successfully interact with a variety of people, including high-level military personnel.
This is a full-time position in San Diego, CA with a hybrid work schedule (combination of on-site and telework). The candidate for this position must reside within commuting distance of San Diego to work on-site at the Naval Health Research Center with mandatory in office days at least two days per week, and as required for successful study execution.The number of days on-site may vary, and the schedule is subject to change based on program and customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage operations workflow by developing schedules, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures
Prepare project documentation materials, such as Institutional Review Board protocols, data sharing agreements, and survey approval forms
Coordinate the execution of human subjects research protocols including subject recruitment and data collection
Coordinate the scheduling of data collection events, focus group sessions, meetings with internal and external stakeholders, and briefs to military leaders
Consent study participants and administer questionnaires to study participants
Conduct basic statistical analyses, such as descriptive statistics, using SPSS or similar statistical software package
Route approvals for all study activities including purchases, travel, and special military facility access
Lead the data collection team during data collection events at military facilities
Assist in writing and editing study materials, reports, and manuscripts
Effectively communicate with data collection points of contact, high level military leaders, and study stakeholders
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in psychology, public health or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of professional research study coordination experience involving human subjects
Demonstrated experience with briefing high-level stakeholders including military leaders, politicians, and funding sponsors
Demonstrated ability to lead a research team of at least 5 individuals during data collection events
Strong background in research methodology and research design
Ability to travel to operational and austere environments including U.S. Navy ships on short notice
Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience interacting effectively with diverse groups
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Due to federal contract restrictions, candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD Public Health, Psychology, or a related field
A minimum of 7 years of professional research study coordination experience involving human subjects
One year of experience working with military populations

Pay Range:Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
