Leidos Space Division is seeking a passionate, detailed-oriented problem-solver to serve as a Systems Engineering Risk Manager to support defense and civil space systems in the Space Division. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Space Division projects include civil and defense space platforms efforts. As an integral member of the Space Division Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Branch, the successful candidate will leverage digital engineering and systems engineering practices and tools, including CAMEO, to identify challenges and formulate candidate solutions within complex, space systems and programs. The systems engineering Risk Manager will coordinate risk management across multiple Space Division programs and projects including civil space and national security space systems. The Risk Manger will manage risks, issues, and opportunities for Space Division projects.
The Risk Manager will define Space Division Risk Management Plan template, and tailor this template for application to specific projects accounting for system and customer risk needs. Risk plans should include appropriate elements of Continuous Risk Management and Risk Informed Decision Making as part of the risk management processes. The Risk Manger will track risks in project specific Cameo system models and incorporate risk mitigation steps appropriately in project schedules. The Risk manager will work to apply systems engineering standard processes and best practices to workflows efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities-• Manage System Risks across multiple projects • Identify, mitigate and resolve risks• Develop Risk Management Plans for the Space Division and for the
individual projects within Space Division• Manage Risk Registers in Cameo and incorporate mitigation steps in project
schedules• Implement creative solutions to ensure program risks are properly defined
and managed• Coordinate risks with the customer• Perform other related job duties as required
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution with 8+
years or Master Degree with 6+ years applicable experience.• Familiarity with CAMEO• Experience with system level risk management• Demonstrates understanding of risks, issues, and opportunities for projects• Demonstrates solid understanding and intuition of the functionality and
interdependency of complex physical systems• Experience applying systems engineering risk management to support
space systems development• Demonstrates solid understanding and intuition of the functionality and
interdependency of aerospace systems• Demonstrated ability to work with the customer to clarify program system
risks• Ability to stay focused and succeed in dynamic and fast paced environments• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail• Organizational skills to document work and interface with team members to
ensure flow of information.
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain US DoD security clearance.

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
