Leidos Dynetics seeking a talented Manager - Assembly, Integration & Test to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. This position will lead the establishment of a Leidos National Space Systems Integration & Test capabilities in Huntsville, AL. In this role, this individual will lead integration and test (I&T) flow for a spaceflight instrument or system, identify the facilities and tools required, and coordinate the execution of critical hardware assembly and test operations. The AI&T Manager will partner with Leadership and other Leidos entities to build a transition plan from current R&D activities to production.
In this role, you will provide critical input in life-cycle design and producibility reviews, the definition of facility requirements, selection, activation, and commissioning. The candidate selected for this position will lead a high-impact project within the Leidos manufacturing organization that will be a dynamic environment and a high growth area.
Primary Responsibilities
Design high-level satellite assembly architecture, manage /Conduct space systems integration build flow and test operations
Develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures based on concepts and designs. Refine processes based on lessons learned.
Evaluate proposed and existing designs for manufacturability and integration. Interface with both engineers and technicians to optimize manufacturing and automation
Providing labor and schedule estimates for low-rate initial production
Developing tooling and equipment needs and partnering with Supply Chain teammates on acquisition. Responsibility for the certification, usage, and maintenance of GSE designed for the project
Enable day-to-day execution of the article integration and test flow, perform precision assembly of small-scale and large-scale mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause and create actionable items and system improvements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (or greater) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, Computer or Aerospace Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
Manage hardware AI&T tasks; requires planning daily and weekly activities across all stakeholders, including your team, program management, system and sub-system engineers, technicians, and quality
Ability to interpret detailed component performance specifications, schematics or Interface Control Drawings (ICD), including assembly drawings, parts lists, and assess engineering changes for impacts
Facilitate the development of work instructions & test procedures and manage payload AI&T operations (scheduling, resource assignments, and facilities/GSE planning.
Experience writing test plans, procedures and providing go/no-go judgment and rationale. Documentation and configuration management experience.
A qualified candidate should have experience in processing of space hardware in a clean-room environment.
Practical experience with the design, fabrication, assembly, and qualification of Electrical or Mechanical GSE hardware
Candidate should have prior experience with environmental testing of space hardware, including: Thermal cycle, Vibration Test, Mass Properties & Shock testing.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and must possess and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in conducting and executing space system electrical tests, including functional testing (front-end, back-end, & performance testing), system end to end testing, and ground station compatibility testing.
Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
Experience in data analysis, anomaly resolution, satellite test software, and electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and digital multimeters.
Experience with assembly & integration of complex space payload assemblies.
Experience in production readiness reviews and concurrent engineering activities to ensure design for test and/or manufacturability on new designs of tight tolerance machined components.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems; Deltek Costpoint, Solumina, Windchill, Jira.
Demonstrated expertise in Lean principles, Visual Management and continuous improvement.
Strong background in the Aerospace Industry.

Pay Range:Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
