Position Summary: The Salesforce Manager is responsible for leading technical design, implementation, and support of the Salesforce platform across Leaf Home. This is a unique and highly collaborative role that works closely with business leadership and internal technology teams to implement solutions in the Salesforce platform that support strategic business needs. The position will lead a team of employees and contractors to deliver business value through technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive consistent development and software configuration practices - tools and common components, develop a deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms such as Xactly and NetSuite.
- Supervise the Salesforce Application team while providing indirect and technical supervision to any staff members within the organization.
- Motivate and lead a team to successfully plan and execute multiple complex technical projects and programs; bring out the best ideas from the team by empowering them and instilling a sense of urgency and purpose.
- Understand problems, policies, and risks, with the ability to effectively translate them into scaled technical solutions that improve support and product experiences for developers.
- Partner closely with business members and cross-functional stakeholders, and lead them through the planning, design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch phases of new tools and systems.
- Estimate development effort, allocate resources, plan implementation plans, and manage rollouts.
- Manage and act on potential risks/issues and provide proposals for solutions to senior management as needed.
- Track technology advances and industry best practices for pertinence to the application and process portfolios, and drive adoption where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with customers, vendors, and other subject matter experts.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in marketing, mathematics, economics, finance, computer science, business, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 8+ years of experience with Salesforce administration and development
- 6+ years of Salesforce technical design and implementation experience.
- 2+ years of experience in leading and maintaining an IT Application Team.
- Proven experience in designing and building highly scalable, distributed & secure solutions that run in a cloud environment such as Azure.
- Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball.”
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality.
- Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
- Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
- Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
- Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:
- Experience with a focus on Sales, Service, and Field Service clouds.
- Experience with cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure preferred).
- Expert knowledge of the Salesforce development lifecycle.
- Salesforce certification.
