What you will do
As a Business Intelligence Manager in the data analytics COE, you will work closely with business unit resources, subject matter experts and IT technical resources. The main goal of your collaboration is to identify and prioritize business needs, define and unify projects, develop requirements, and manage the development effort to completion.
This position will manage our data analytics governance processes including harmonizing/standardizing digital tools, automating backend processes, and maintaining action trackers from governance meetings for the Global Products division. The team will also manage the total global product pipeline of data analytic projects that will give transparency to leadership on all analytical investments.
How will you do it?
- Hold requirement gathering sessions on key processes in the business
- Conceive, design, build, and implement Business Intelligence software and technology solutions by studying the needs of the groups and the tools currently available
- Collaborate and push teams to buy in on a single solution where needed to standardize tools
- Understanding business requirements, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes
- Develop and communicate required policies and standards
- Investigating problem areas
- Demonstrate the ability to resolve key project hurdles and assumptions by effectively utilizing available information and technical expertise.
- Provide quality assurance – oversight, monitoring, report results
- Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of Business Intelligence technologies and platforms related to analytics reporting design and development, data curation, data warehousing, data analysis and visualization tools, data storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments.
- Mentor/supervise one or more analyst to align with team developmental targets
- Passionate about leading, guiding, and mentoring others
What we look for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline
- Fluent English
- 7+ years of experience in leading project and/or supporting corporate functions
- 3+ years of business partnership experience with exposure to senior management
- Maximize senior leader engagement with and benefits from data-driven insights.
- Experience pulling data into BI tools from one or more database technologies (Azure, Dbeaver, SQL Server), data warehouse, enterprise gateway and working experience with large data sets.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to supervise a small team of resources working on one or more Projects/Enhancements
- Demonstrated proficiency defining custom dimensions, writing DAX queries, creating advanced UI/UX in Power BI reports, and tuning performance for a best user experience and adoption.
- Willingness to meet challenges, hardworking & able to work under pressure
- Recommend and own improvements to analytics, ability to move fast and be responsive to changing business needs.
- Deep understanding of meta data management, data dictionary, catalog, user training, and lineage documentation.
- Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
