What you will do:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all warehouse operations and maintains inventory accuracy of all raw materials and finished goods, to include any off-site warehouses used for the storage of products. This position is responsible for all warehouse personnel and warehouse operations, to include shipping and receiving, forklift operations, label room operations, and cycle count personnel that support production schedules and customer shipments. The Warehouse Manager will model operational best business practices. Excelling in Inventory accuracy, SAP training, SAP transactional integrity and standard work across all team members are essential for the success in of this role.
How you will do it:
· Manage the storage and movement of materials within multiple warehouses, the production floor, and any offsite warehouses.
· Manage the cycle count program to ensure accurate inventory and help in the investigation of inventory inaccuracies.
· Responsible for inspecting all finished good returns for damage.
· Manage warehouse space utilization and develop future-state warehouse strategies.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining training plans, standard operating procedures, and standard work instructions for all material handlers.
· Drive changeover meetings to review KPI’s
· Focus on Lean procedures and a safety culture
· Responsible to ensure all warehouse operations have proper material handling equipment, PPE, and other resources to complete tasks in a timely manner.
· Assist in resolving issues or potential issues that are related to warehouse or material control within the warehouse, shipping, receiving, warehouses on and offsite.
· Communicates performance expectations to team members and provides coaching to reinforce positive performance.
· Support warehouse initiatives which include strategizing with your team.
· Lead by example to promote employee engagement and teamwork.
· Ensure that warehouse employees are following Johnson Controls Safety Rules and OSHA regulations.
· Audits related to inventory movements, identifies root cause and corrective actions to resolve discrepancies
· Ability to prepare action plans to achieve results and growth objectives
· Help coordinate and lead the annual Physical Inventory
· Maintains effective working relationship and communication with all departments.
· Operates within budget and contributes to the overall reduction of overhead and expenses.
· Drive continuous improvement activities. Implement lean measured through reduced pick time and improved inventory turns
· Fleet management, office safety
· Other duties as assigned.
What we look for:
Required:
· This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study with 4 to 6 year's of experience in a warehouse or production control with material management experience
· In the absence of a 4-year degree in an appropriate field of study, this position requires an additional 5 years of related experience
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
· SAP experience preferred
· Forklift certified
· Ability to lift 25-50lbs
