What you will do Johnson Controls has a phenomenal opportunity for a Senior Product Chiller Engineer based in New Freedom, PA. You will be part of global product engineering team to support design and development of new products and sustain existing products globally. You will also support the manufacturing and sustaining of engineering changes, cooperate with manufacturing team in CI (continuous improvement) projects, VAVE and provide guidance on manufacturing issues.
How you will do it
Maintains understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles, and processes related to fluid, thermal, and other mechanical aspects of air-cooled scroll products.
Has proficiency in mechanical design and be able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product through engineering change processes.
Executes test programs to validate performance and reliability of mechanical systems and components.
Analyzes, designs, modifies and/or troubleshoots mechanical sub-components and sub-systems based on test data Works closely with the design and manufacturing teams to develop and execute VAVE projects.
Facilitate New Product Introduction to manufacturing plants.
Mentoring other team members with your competencies.
Applies mechanical codes such as UL, CE, PED and ASME.
Creates and reviews technical documentation for use within the organization.
Provides product technical support to application and field service organizations.
Occasional domestic and international travel (up to 10%).
What you will needRequired
BS in Mechanical Engineering
7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
Organizing and processing large amounts of data, summarize findings, develop conclusions and recommendation
Experience with product development, project management, and sustaining of configurable systems
Preferred
Manufacturing and/or HVAC industry experience
