What you will do
The primary responsibility for this role is to manage BAS graphics for Building Automation System global projects as per country specific standards. Develop, manage team of project lead and team members to support regional engineering activities. Basic knowledge about HVAC domain, cost & time management. Follow processes, maintain required quality standards and on time deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain project quality, on time delivery and manage escalations. Should handle team of 8-12 engineers, mentor and monitor performance of team and individual team members.
How you will do it
- Review project inputs and specifications; should be able to capture the scope and understand the complete requirements of the project.
- Review MEP drawings, specification, SOP and identify HAVC equipment, dampers and sensors.
- Review control specifications for graphics requirement and sequence of operations
- Preparation and participation for project kick-off / review meetings with technical queries, compliance / deviations log, risk logs and record minutes of meeting.
- Inputs reviews, planning and coordinate delivery activities
- Design graphics templates, symbol libraries as per regional requirements
- Build positive and productive working relationships with customers for business growth
- Accountable for completion of project milestones and customer deliverables as per committed timelines and quality standards
- Perform resource allocations to projects according to delivery requirements and ensure optimum utilization of team
- Ensure that team maintains high level of competence and operational excellence
- Drive project reviews, ensure quality assurance and defect free graphics package delivery
- Report delivery status to customers and develop required delivery documentations
- Manage relationship between JCI branch engineering/installation team and GCE for ease of business
- Performance management and evaluation of performance of the team by providing continuous feedback on set goals, expectations and achievements
- Mentor team members and ensure they meet competency target and organization expectations.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in order to form high performance culture in team.
What we look for
- BE/ME (Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication).
- Strong knowledge of BMS architecture with different types of Operator workstations, Supervisory Controllers, DDC controllers, Sensors & Actuators etc.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems like Chilled Water System, Cooling Towers, Primary & Secondary pumping systems, Hot Water System, Different types of AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems etc. along with the knowledge of network protocols like BACNet, LON, Modbus, OPC, and other protocols.
- Knowledge of BMS architecture with different types of Operator workstations
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience in the field of Industrial Automation (SCADA/HMI screens development) will be added an advantage
- Must be a quick learner & should have a keen eye for problem solving.
- Should be good in people management and team management.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills.
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices. Formulate strategic and operational objectives
Preferred
8 to 12 years of relevant experience in Building Automation System or BMS Design Engineering along with people management experience.
