SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the assembly line, ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. This role involves managing a team of assembly workers, coordinating with other departments, and continuously improving production processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Supervise and lead a team of assembly workers, providing guidance, training, and support.
Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee development plans.
Production Management:
Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet targets.
Ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicate effectively with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and logistics.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors as needed.
Provide regular updates to management on production status and issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
Proficient in using production management software and tools.
