We are currently looking for an IT Network Specialist (Country Operations Analyst). Under the general guidance of the IT Manager, this position will provide technical support and deploy company standard Wide Area Networks, Wireless networks, Security networks and miscellaneous IT systems used by Heidelberg Materials‘ businesses. This position will be a member of the IT Services Infrastructure and will reside in our Corporate office in Irving, TX.
What you’ll get to do
- Provide end user support at our aggregate quarries, concrete and cement plants for WAN, WIFI, Camera and Security related projects and issues.
- Schedule and deploy the company standards services to the Business.
- Participate in both business initiated and IT driven projects.
- Develop and maintain IT documentation and training programs to assist in meeting business needs.
- Occasional out of region travel is required with ability to travel internationally.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience in a Microsoft Windows/Cisco networking environment
- Cisco CCNA certification or higher, experience troubleshooting network issues and configuring Cisco network equipment.
- Experience ordering WAN circuits and an understanding of the various WAN technologies – DSL, MPLS, DMVPN, SD-WAN
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, testing techniques
- Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, Project and Visio.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- A detail oriented self-starter with strong organizational skills and basic project management experience
- Keen interest in new technologies and the vision to identify opportunities for improving processes.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Knowledge and IT support experience within the construction materials industry is an asset.
