Business Analyst II – Procurement (Hybrid)
Heidelberg Materials is seeking a qualified Business Analyst to join our team in Irving, Texas.

What you’ll get to do
- Gather and help to create transactional data focused reports; analyze data for trending and identify areas of further improvement.
- Maintain and further develop Procurement Dashboards for NAM and Regions
- Lead analysis to build and maintain automation and reporting features for Total Spend Analysis
- Track measurements on key processes (KPIs) and work with managers on additional productivity markers.
- Support Procure to Pay Process Improvements
- Participate, develop RPA/ML supporting P2P, standardization and channel selection.
- Support development of Ocean Freight Models to Drive Hedging and Risk mitigation
- Automate position and risk reporting of import materials in real time
- Support Energy Strategy assisting with administration of the DR programs during peak events and monitor ISO demand profile. Run Strategic Energy reports on a monthly basis (Power, Natural Gas, Fuel)
- Assist with the receipt and allocation of DR program revenues, support end-users training on how to use and maximize DR program (cost, price, opportunities, savings)
- Monitor commodity market information – report on market opportunities as they arise
- Support Centralization of Contracts in Ariba in coordination with Procurement Regions and Corporate teams
- Allocation of NAM vendor rebate payments to regions/operations.
- Inventory Analysis and Reporting (Cement Manufacturing/Master Data)
- Any other duties, as assigned.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Field required, with course work in math/statistics (desired).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant IT work experience.
- Applied Predictive Analytics, Data Mining, Data Visualization, Decision Models, Business Forecasting
- Strong MS Office knowledge and expertise, specifically Excel, Access, Power Point, Word and VBA.
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership & accountability a plus.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships throughout the organization.
- Cement, Aggregates, Ready Mix Concrete industry experience a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and interfaces a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and strong analytical skills.
- Strong analytical & abstract thinking skills.
- Forge strong relationships within Procurement, corporate functions, and Operations.
- Comfortable to lead discussions to facilitate learning sessions.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Math and statistics focus in undergraduate education
- Construction materials industry experience
- SAP and Ariba
- Agile business analysis is an asset
