Job Summary:
The Telemetry Center Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is responsible for the daily operations of the Centralized Monitoring Unit (CMU). This role oversees a team of 10 Central Monitor Technicians (CMTs) and ensures the efficient functioning of the department. The CMU monitors ECG telemetry and other hemodynamic parameters for nearly 300 patients at any given time. This is a non-direct care position ideal for a skilled RN looking to make a significant impact on patient care and staff development. Job Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Daily Workflow: Manage and supervise the daily activities of CMTs to ensure optimal workflow.
- Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the expert in cardiac and physiological monitoring, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Education and Training: Deliver training on department protocols and policies, ensuring staff are well-informed and competent. This is done collaboratively with and at the direction of the CMU Nurse Educator.
- Shift Transitions: Facilitate smooth transitions between shifts to maintain continuity of care.
- Daily Huddles: Lead daily LEAN Huddles to discuss unit initiatives and provide updates as directed by the Nurse Manager.
- Liaison Role: Act as the primary point of contact between the CMU and inpatient clinical staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Staffing Management: Oversee daily staffing for the department and manage any staffing changes for upcoming shifts.
- Process Improvement: Engage in process improvement initiatives and implement evidence-based best practices related to cardiac monitoring.
- Collaborative Leadership: Partner with the CMU leadership team to achieve the best possible patient outcomes related to cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Staff Development: Teach, coach, and mentor staff, promoting the HHC Mission and Core Values.

Qualifications
·BS degree required; MSN preferred. One degree must be in Nursing.
- *Exceptions to the educational requirement will be evaluated on an individual basis. For example, a strong candidate in the process of completing the educational requirement will be considered. Continued progress toward completion of the educational requirement within five years will be required.
· Minnimum one-year nursing and telemetry experience
·Current RN CT License.
·Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician [CRAT] or equivalent preferred.

- Commitment to process improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be able to provide oversight collaboratively with a diverse workforce.
