Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. Position Overview:
Pelvic Health Therapist (PT/OT)
We are seeking a talented and caring Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) for our outpatient team in Westport, CTwho is either experienced in or interested in becoming trained in the assessment and treatment of men and women’s pelvic health. This position would also be cross-trained to serve orthopedic and neuro populations as needed.
The Physical Therapist administers medically prescribed Physical Therapy treatments to patients, independently evaluates patient’s level of function, determines treatment strategies, and delivers and/or delegates Physical Therapy services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain.
The Occupational Therapist independently evaluates patients’ level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals. Determines treatment strategies and delivers Occupational Therapy services that promote health and wellness, prevent injury or disability, improve and develop self-dependency and maintenance, productivity, leisure, perceptual motor function, rest, mental, cognitive physical, sensory-perceptual, psychosocial developmental, and emotional wellbeing in a variety of contexts and environments in order to maximize function in the areas of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work.
