Job Summary

Under the leadership of the Director of Clinical Operations, the Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse responsible and accountable for the 24-hour planning, organizing, directing and evaluation of clinical, administrative and operational activities for their assigned department.  The scope of responsibilities includes clinical and safety practices of nurses and other members of the clinical team, professional nursing practice, leadership and professional growth, human resource management, financial performance, system coordination and clinical performance (safety, patient experience and quality) improvement.

This is a unique leadership position which manages the staff and implements the strategic plan in the the Preadmission Testing Center, GI- Endoscopy unit, and Short Stay Department (Admit surgical, GI, Radiologypatients and phase 2 recovery for the same population. Leadership experience preferred and GI- Endoscopy experience preferred. BSN required and MSN preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in clinical practice.
• Management, supervisory, or charge RN experience with demonstrated success in area of specialty.

Licensure, Certification, Registration

• Registered Nurse State of CT.
• Certified BLS provider credentialed form the American Heart Association (AHA)
