Backus Hospital is actively hiring a Clinical Educator for our inpatient Med Surg and Cardiology units. Our Clinical Educators are professional Registered Nurse Leaders responsible for implementation of the educational program, modeling the highest quality of patient care. A3 is a 30-bed unit where our dedicated team of nursing and healthcare professionals provides compassionate care to a varied Medical/Surgical patient population. Our staff follows Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols for improved postoperative outcomes. E4 Cardiology Telemetry is a 28-bed unit and serves as the central cardiac monitoring site for the inpatient floors. We are an energetic, collaborative team that is committed to excellence within in a fast-paced environment. Combining our skill and use of innovative technology, our patient and family centered care creates an environment that promotes caring and healing.
Qualifications
·Graduate of a school of nursing. Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or currently enrolled in a program and on track to complete within four (4) years of hire.
·Current unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
·Five (5) years recent acute care experience. Three (3) years clinical experience in focus area of job responsibility
·Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
·Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications; Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) board certification preferred
