Responsibilities
The Applications Support Specialist is responsible for providing real-time and follow up support to end users that access healthcare systems to perform their primary job responsibilities, in addition to supporting clinical provider computer hardware. As an Applications Support Specialist you will:
- Troubleshoot EMR software and its associated clinical applications
- Provide remote assistance and corrective solutions for end users via phone, email, service desk tickets and IM
- Attain a high, first level call closure rate by using a wide range of remote software tools to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network connectivity problems
- Coach end users on their varied technologies
- Work with outside vendors to support business initiatives
- Develop and maintain formalized internal documentation and job aids to assist in quickly resolving issues, including Application Support procedures, tech tips, and knowledge base
- Repair, configure and deploy laptops
- Perform software application testing for new releases/implementations
- Available for 24x7 rotating on-call shift (evenings & weekends every 6 weeks).
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
- 1+ years of work experience in a fast-paced IT Helpdesk or EMR Helpdesk supporting a variety of computer software and applications
- Proficiency in Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 10) and Microsoft Office
- Proficiency troubleshooting network connection issues
- Proficiency with computer hardware, software and associated applications including, but not limited to, VPN’s, EMR’s and remote computer monitoring/management tools
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Preferred
- Applicants that live in the CST. MST or PST time zone to cover for the team on the EST.
Posted Min Pay Rate USD $24.00/Yr.
Posted Max Pay Rate USD $31.00/Yr.
