Job Description:
*100% Fully Remote - Work from Anywhere in the U.S.*As H&R Block continues to expand support to our tax preparers assisting taxpayers with filing accurate tax return and obtaining the best tax result possible, our team is looking for individuals to work with us during tax season providing best-in-class assistance to Block branded tax professionals.
In this role, you will work with H&R Block tax preparers via our in-house submission systems to provide answers to the legal and regulatory issues encountered when preparing individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns. You will use your research and writing skills to provide accurate and detailed responses to complex tax questions. Your responses will support H&R Block tax preparers seeking assistance with their preparation of federal, international, and state/local tax returns during the upcoming 2024 tax season.
We are looking for seasonal associates familiar with tax laws and with outstanding research and writing skills. The Associate will be responsible for answering inquiries from our tax preparers in the field via our online submission system. The ideal candidate will bring successful experience with research and writing, substantial knowledge of tax law or tax return preparation. The candidate should be independent yet able to work as a member of a team to achieve team goals and objectives.

Provide accurate and professional written responses to complex tax law and procedure questions submitted by our tax professionals in the field.

Use research tools and databases, etc. to research tax law and regulatory issues.

Work with teammates and team leads to ensure compliance with service level agreements.

Provide best in class customer service striving to provide clear, prompt, and accurate assistance.

Master’s degree in Tax, Business, Accounting, Finance, or other related field
- Current JD or CPA certification or an appropriate/equivalent combination of education and experience
- Judicial Clerkship or experience writing memoranda of law
