This is a fully in-person role located at our Corporate office.
Responsibilities
- Expert level Windows engineering (Full on prem Microsoft stack)
- Expert level in Hyper-V (Including large scale highly available clustered environments)
- Experience with multiple physical server vendors (Racking, cabling, power, patching, imaging)
- Experience with multiple SAN storage vendors (Racking, cabling, power, patching, imaging)
- Installation, maintenance and administration of Remote Desktop Services (Application delivery and published desktops)
- Installation, maintenance and administration of Windows Server and Active Directory
- Management of Microsoft server security configuration and patching
- Provisioning and administration of user access credentials and folder permissions
- Maintenance and administration of DHCP, DNS, FTP and other network services
- Administration of server hardware and software inventories and documentation
- Desktop and Server support escalation
- Knowledge of and applied experience of handling performance monitoring and tuning
- Ability to participate in a rotational 24/7 on-call schedule
- Monitor and work customer support tickets and requests
- Respond to server resource monitoring alerts
- Enterprise backup system experience
Qualifications
- Associates degree, trade school certificate or equivalent hands-on work experience
- 6+ years’ experience in server configuration management, administration and production support
- Microsoft Server systems certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP are valued
- Experience administrating multi-site enterprise environment consisting of thousands of endpoints, users, and servers.
- SAN/Server/Fiber Channel/Power/Data Center Cooling
- Backup technologies and replication strategies
- Windows Server: 2012 – 2022 Including CORE, Windows 10,11
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Cloud platforms: O365, Azure
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- Extensive experience in server virtualization installation and configuration
- Demonstrate intermediate to expert scripting knowledge and skills with PowerShell
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-critical production environment
- Ability to comprehend systems architecture and design
- Ability to gather, interpret, document, and evaluate server requirements
- Ability to conduct research into server and application issues, as required
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Highly self-motivated, with keen attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong customer service orientation and work ethic
- Experience working in a dispersed, team-oriented, collaborative environment
