A Micro-Fulfillment Center (MFC) is a facility which uses a combination of Team Members and technology to gather items from an automated grid of product to fulfill Curbside online orders. The facility will house center store products as well as frozen and chilled goods.Job Description
Receiving Lead at the Micro Fulfillment Center is a key player to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of incoming shipments. This role is responsible for inspecting, verifying, and processing incoming inventory as well as maintaining a well-organized receiving area to minimize costs, enforce security procedures, and promote a safe work environment.
Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year
Experience Desired: Previous experience in a grocery store or fulfillment center environment.
Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibilities
Maintain safety as the top priority in all aspects of our work, for our Team Members, guests, and products.
Receive and unload incoming internal and DSD shipments, using appropriate equipment and safety measures.
Inspect goods in shipment for damages, discrepandies, and quality issues.
Verify shipment contents against packing lists, purchase orders, and other documentation.
Accurately record received items, quantities, and relevant information in the inventory management.
Document any discrepancies for any pricing, unauthorized product, damages, or compliance violations that occur with DSD vendors or products.
Ensure the respective departments are notified of perishable deliveries in a timely manner in order to ensure maintenance of cold chain.
Maintain the receiving room and immediate area outside of the room to ensure that areas are well-organized and that there are no obstructions to the receiving of deliveries in an efficient time and manner.
Retrieve empty materials from the loading docks and return to the receiving area.
Organize the flats and backroom at the end of shift for a clean hand-off to the next shift.
Follow all Company delivery policies and procedures to ensure the safe practices.
Provide unparalleled guest service to our internal and external customers.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be scheduled according to needs of business including but not limited to necessary required amount of nights, weekends and holidays.
