How the Senior Operations Systems Engineer will make an impact: • Selected candidate will be responsible for performing system engineering in the IAMD domain in coordination with architecture analysis efforts. • This position will be responsible for understanding, interpreting, and coordinating integrated architecture products using tools and concepts such as model based systems engineering, systems of systems, analysis of complex systems using standards-based languages such as SysML, and decision support. • This position will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-level Government briefings and presentations.• Serve as Nimble Fire Lead Engineer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of Systems Engineering and Analysis for JIAMDO's Nimble Fire (NF) events to ensure the development and integration of technical, system, and operational aspects of virtual environment events to inform requirements and influence employment concepts for acquisition and war fighter communities.• Coordinate activities of the 50+ Contractor support team from multiple Associate Engineer contractors to help in overall prioritization relative to NF event-specific or long-term goals. Work directly with all VWC and Associate Engineers to ensure their system simulations are performing as expecting and will support stated NF event objectives.• Write all integration test plans for Integration Tests (ITs) leading up to NF events; direct testing on-site at the VWC during IT periods; help define and conduct special testing periods that our focused on emerging capabilities (e.g., networks, electronic attack, environment upgrades, multi-domain improvements).• Work with VWC engineers to prioritize development, testing, and integration efforts of necessary changes to the hardware and software at the VWC.• Help develop the overall scenarios, event briefings, and conduct multi-service planning sessions for the NF events; help to define the overall event calendar and event objectives.• Analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business systems to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision-making or resource allocation.• Utilizes extremely complex modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions.• Provides integral support in the requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation of modeling and simulation based decision support system applications. • Work with NF contractor support team on data analysis and post-event briefings.• Develop and maintain NF event scenario documents for all Associate Engineers (e.g., Operational Tasking Data Link, Communications Plan, DIS Enumerations, etc.).• Work with COCOM, DoD, government, and contractor support key stakeholders to define upcoming NF event objectives, schedule, system simulation requirements, simulation sites, and event details.
What you'll need to be successful (Required): • Master's Degree and a minimum of 15 years of related technical experience required.• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
