Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician II CLC 40

HOW A LAND MOBILE RADIO (LMR) TECHNICIAN II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Performs installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.
● Will verify services by testing circuits/equipment/alarms & identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
● Leverage LMR shop operations & management experience from a large-scale LMR shop.
● Will respond to emergency calls in the event of a system failure.
● Will install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, & repair telecommunication equipment, to include running/pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays.
● Apply hands-on experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Motorola & other LMR Equipment
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: High School Diploma/GED
● Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Must be qualified to install LMR base stations, repeaters and mobile radios.
● Security Clearance Level: SECRET
● Required Skills and Abilities:
• Communications consoles
• Repeaters
• XTS-5000 and other hand-held radios
• Trunked and non-trunked LMR systems
• Key loaders, antennas, multi-couplers, duplexers
• Test equipment (service monitors/ system analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, power meters, spectrum analyzer
• Digital recording equipment
• OTAR keying equipment (Key management facility)
• Site controllers
